About Our Project
The purpose of our database is to be able to retrieve information about students, peer mentors, and their interactions from a single paperless location to stay organized and save time. Course and student information are handled by the instructor, and Peer Mentors, that are assigned specific students in each section. The current system of tracking attendance, interactions, and student information is in multiple different, unorganized places. This system provides a central location for both Peer Mentor and instructors to access, to record and look up information that is necessary for the class. All of the student information is kept in the students table, and information about the interactions of the students with the peer mentors can be easily extracted and put into forms. This will allow the instructor, or any peer mentor, to easily check the information of any student in the class.
